Survey Project Supports Closing of Critical Gap in Aurora's Busy Transportation Network

This land surveying project involved control, right-of-way, topographic design and utility surveys for this two mile extension of Aurora’s very busy 6th Avenue corridor.

This new roadway extension project will implement a transportation solution that will close a critical gap in the regional transportation network to enhance east-west mobility between existing 6th Avenue/State Highway 30 and E-470 Tollway in Aurora. The new connection will improve access to Buckley Air Force Base, one of only three NRO Mission Critical Aerospace Data Facilities in the United States; the Anschutz Medical Campus and the new Veterans Hospital.  In addition, the project includes 6-foot shoulders and a 10-foot-wide shared use path that will accommodate both bicyclists and pedestrians.

Farnsworth Group provided topographic design surveys, right-of-way plans, legal descriptions and exhibits for right-of-way and acquisition for the 2-mile roadway extension.
