Drainage Study Tackles Flooding and Land Use
Our team provided a master drainage report that quantified the hydrologic and hydraulic basin/sub-base conditions of the existing Colorado Army National Guard (COARNG) Enclave campus -- including future improvements using the EPA Storm Water Management Model (SWMM) computer software.
Providing both civil engineering and land surveying, the final study identified conveyance deficiencies, recommended solutions, and provided costs in order to ensure Best Management Practices and Low Impact Development improvements from a drainage standpoint. As part of the study, our team also identified pavement improvements including site layout, grading, drainage and paving for buildings 1000 and 1500.
At the completion of the study phase, Farnsworth Group provided all of the design and construction drawings required including stormwater detention ponds, rain gardens, storm sewer, grass swales, grading and erosion control throughout the Enclave.
Additional features include:
- Services provided to the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) and the Colorado Army National Guard (COARNG)
- Drainage study led to construction documents
- Budget constraints required Construction Drawing Package to be completed within two weeks of Notice to Proceed
