Northern Water needed to develop a new operations campus in a remote area of Grand County, Colorado, with limited access to municipal water and wastewater infrastructure.
Farnsworth Group provided civil engineering and surveying services for Northern Water’s 75-acre operations campus. Supporting approximately 14 acres of development, the project created new office and maintenance facilities for Willow Creek operations serving communities across northern Colorado and southern Nebraska.
Because the site lacked access to municipal water and sanitary sewer systems, Farnsworth Group designed critical infrastructure to support long-term campus operations, including an on-site potable water well, fire protection pond, stormwater facilities, parking areas, driveways, and utility systems. The team also coordinated site utility infrastructure with septic systems designed by others and collaborated on a new fire pump system and pumphouse to provide reliable fire protection.
Farnsworth Group prepared construction documents and specifications and provided construction administration services, helping deliver a resilient, self-sustaining campus that supports Northern Water’s operational mission in a remote mountain environment.
