Derek Hartmann, EIT Associate Principal, Energy & Utilities

Mr. Hartmann is a project manager at Farnsworth Group with experience in pipeline design, permitting, and construction across both urban and rural environments. His background includes hydrotest and pipe stress analysis, HDD and bore crossings, and the design of launcher, receiver, heater, and M&R systems.

He has worked on projects requiring local, regional, FERC, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers permitting, supporting efforts from initial studies through detailed design, construction, and retirement. Mr. Hartmann is proficient in MS Project as well as AutoCAD and MicroStation.

He holds both a Bachelor and Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Bradley University and is an Engineer-in-Training. He is also actively involved in Farnsworth Group as a Lisle Site Leader, DEI Committee member, and participant in the firm’s Principal Mentorship Program.
