Derek oversees all phases of project management, including client coordination, design review, construction administration, and project close‑out. As a Regional Leader within Farnsworth Group’s commissioning practice, he serves as the single point of contact for TAB and commissioning efforts, working closely with project teams and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and consistent, high‑quality delivery.

Derek is a strong advocate for the commissioning process and brings 19 years of experience providing project management and commissioning services across a variety of markets, including higher education, K‑12, healthcare, federal, and commercial facilities. A registered Professional Engineer and LEED Accredited Professional, he focuses on the research, design, and commissioning of building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Known for his collaborative approach and attention to coordination, Derek helps integrate subconsultants effectively and keeps complex projects moving forward with confidence and clarity.
