Increased Lift Station Capacity Allows for Commercial Growth
The original Crossroads Lift Station was aging and no longer met the required capacity needed to service the commercial and light industrial Crossroads Business Park. The site was expanded 10 feet to the west and 30 feet to the south to allow for the two new vacuum primed 25 Hp sewage pumps housed in a recessed steel pump station enclosure, installed over an eight foot diameter precast concrete wet well.
The project included upsizing the existing 8-inch influent sewer to a 10-inch sewer, two precast, doghouse manholes, and an emergency pumping connection. All electrical equipment was also replaced including a new natural gas fueled 85kW generator. The new generator is housed in a fiberglass enclosure that allows access to both the generator and the automatic transfer switch.
